Die IG f\u00fcr Dorfversch\u00f6nerung und Heimatpflege e.V. hatte 1991 diese alte Tradition wieder aufleben lassen, nachdem es etliche Jahre in Fulkum kein Maibaumfest gegeben hatte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seitdem hat der Maibaum beim sch\u00f6nen Fulkumer Warteh\u00e4uschen seinen festen Platz. Alle bisherigen Versuche von Maibaumaufstellern aus anderen D\u00f6rfern den Fulkumer Maibaum zu klauen schlugen bisher fehl. Dagegen schafften es die Fulkumer schon des \u00f6fteren stattliche Maib\u00e4ume aus Nachbard\u00f6rfern zu stehlen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seit 1995 wird der Maibaum von der Dorfjugend aufgestellt und bis zum Sonnenaufgang bewacht.
